For the Children

Natisha Gallegos and Albert Gallegos, 32, were the parents of a 7 year old daughter. Natisha Gallegos was also the mother of two sons, ages 14 and 12 years old. According to some reports the couple had had some problems recently and they were divorced this year.

According to workers at the next door market, Natisha Gallegos came running into the market recently looking for a place to hide. While she hid in the bathroom, Gallegos allegedly allegedly was carrying a knife and “‘was running after her (Natisha Gallegos) saying, ‘Where is she? Where is she?”‘ One of the workers called 911. Police have said that Natisha Gallegos had a restraining order against him.

Family has said “Like any couple – they had their ups and downs,” and in a message to Gallegos, they have said “We know you went through hard times with Natisha, Your daughter is suffering and those boys are suffering. Please, please come forward and talk because we need to know what happened.” Family has said the children spent the night “confused”.

The children were away from home on Christmas Eve morning.  Neighbors have told police they heard the sound of breaking glass at the apartment about 10 am. A relative contacted police when they found Natisha Gallegos at 11:48 am. Police have not released the cause of death, but they say a window was broken out in the home.

Police have been unable to locate Gallegos. And they think he might know something about the murder. Gallegos is described as a Hispanic male, 5’8″, 150 punds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He may be driving a green 2 door 1996 Pontiac Grand Am, with Colorado license plate 876-MYM.

Police say that Gallegos does have a of domestic violence as well as child abuse, fighting in public, and felony menacing.

Three more children. Instead of thinking about Christmas presents, they spent the night thinking of the fact that they would never see their mother again. And possibly they may have wondered what would happen to them now, where would they live, where would they go to school? And as young ones sometimes do, maybe they even worried that the person who killed their mother, might come after them.

Family seems to suspect that a dispute over the children may have led up to the murder.

Albert Gallegos was involved in a car accident in California today. Police say no one else was injured in the accident. According to reports he was in the green Pontiac that had he had reportedly stolen from a relative. He was located when he crashed the vehicle in the front yard of a residence.

Police say Gallegos was unresponsive at the scene, he was injured in the accident and may have been attempting to overdose on cold medicine. He is now under arrest in a hospital intensive care.

Maureen thank you for the kind words. I am very sorry for your family’s loss. I wish there had been no need to include your cousin. Thank you for the information about the trust fund.
I try to update the cases I post here, but it is kind of sporadic. One thing you can do is to go to Google, select news, enter your cousin’s name, and at the bottom of the page it will offer you the option to set up a Google alert. Complete that information and a notice of all future news articles will be sent to your email mailbox. And please feel free to let me know about any updates.
