Very Intoxicated

She was a fun loving woman, who loved her children, was generous and helpful to her friends and loved to shop and make her friends laugh. These are some of the memories being shared about JoDee Thompson, 48.

JoDee Thompson was reportedly occasionally dating James A. Delfosse, 36. Reportedly Delfosse has told investigators that the two had been drinking Sept. 30, and allegedly they began arguing when she accused him of flirting with a woman in a bar (earlier articles say the two were arguing over bills- the two did not live together). Reportedly he began punching her until she lost consciousness. He then got a knife and cut her throat. Allegedly he then put her body into the bathtub and began attempting to cut it apart. According to a detective he also put cold water and ice into the tub so the neighbors wouldn’t smell it.

According to the coroner’s statement, the cause of death was blunt and sharp force trauma to the head and neck. Reportedly there were also numerous post mortem injuries.

At some point he attempted to set a fire to try to burn the evidence of the murder. A neighbor saw him grab a fire extinguisher and run into his apartment, so they followed him inside. They saw blood, a knife, and Thompson’s body in the tub. She began to run out of the apartment and Delfosse allegedly threw the fire extinguisher at her. She made it outside, screaming for help. Though there was a lot of smoke, the  fire did not cause much damage and emergency personnel were about to put it out with a fire extinguisher.

Reportedly Delfosse was very intoxicated at the time of his arrest. He admitted to murder, but initially told them he had murdered someone else. He has been bound over to trial on charges of  1 st degree intentional homicide, arson, and mutilating a corpse.

this clip of information is about my mother jodee. i just came across it and wanted to leave a comment. this is an accurate article describing what happened to her. although there are more details as to what he did to her, but i think those are the basics. what he did to her was not right, and i will never forgive him for taking the life of my mother. now i have to live the rest of my life without her. it happened when i was 16, i’m 19 now. that’s only 3 years of a lifetime. missing you forever mom. always and forever.

Well it sounds like he was very messed up at the time so its not like he did it on purpose. If he was in the right state of mind, he never would have done it EVER. Yes what he did was not right in any way, but alcohol does stuff to people. It puts them in a mind set that they would never resort to while sober.. I think there should be some forgiveness here. And again not saying that what he did was right at all.
