“The most loving person that I know”

Randall Piercy, 41, has been arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse and torture of his 9 year old son.

Piercy’s wife Michelle Piercy has reportedly said that her husband is the most loving person she knows. Reportedly she also said “Yes, my husband is controlling. Yes I’m controlling when it comes to my son’s safety. I cannot believe this is happening, because my husband is the most loving person that I know.” And she denies that her husband or herself ever abused the child. She has stated that the child is active and that everything is being done to prevent him from hurting himself or from getting in trouble. Allegedly he has gotten up at night and went  outside. And there has been a reference to an incident that occurred several years ago, but no explanation was given. The mother has also said the child has a learning disability and is extremely hyperactive. Detectives say the child cannot read, the mother says he has passed all of his tests.

Piercy has also reportedly made a statement. “I’m a loving father. I didn’t cage my son; I love my family and I love my son.” Both Piercy and his wife are saying that everything is being blown out of proportion. Piercy alleges this is a vendetta set up by his in-laws.

Some reports say the couple was selling their home, and Michelle Piercy’s father is a real estate broker. According to some reports he brought a buyer to the home and the buyer made a report to the police. Some  reports say that the father-in-law is the one who made the report.

A undercover investigator posed as a potential buyer and went to the home with the father-in-law. Reportedly in the home, he found cameras installed in nearly every room. In the father’s bedroom, was a television monitor and several computers. The picture on the television showed the child’s bed. One room was locked shut with an outside deadbolt. That was the child’s bedroom.

Allegedly when the investigator entered the child’s room, it smelled faintly of urine. The boy was reportedly sitting on his bed in his underwear watching TV. There was a camera on the wall aimed at the child’s bed.

According to police, the boy had been locked in the room for 3 years. Allegedly, he was allowed to be with his mother for an hour a day, his mother denys this and says she could be with him anytime she wanted. Allegedly he was allowed to go to the bathroom once a day, as the father was allegedly “teaching” him to control his body and he was told to ‘hold it’ the rest of the time. Reportedly he didn’t attend school, the mother has said that he was home schooled. Detectives have said the child was unable to read. Reportedly he did not recieve medical care,  and the mother says that he went to the doctor earlier this week. Investigators say that the father controlled everything from outside the boys room. Things like when the child ate, when he went to the bathroom, his lights and when his TV was turned on and off.

According to one report the child has brothers who have left the home. Reportedly the children are 5 grown children from a previous marriage of Piercy.

The child has been placed on an emergency shelter order, which means that he cannot have contact with his parents.

The investigation is continuing and reportedly police are also investigating the mother’s role in the alleged charges.

At the Piercy home media has said that there is a play set and a basketball hoop outside. Neighbors have reported the family as reclusive, some neighbors have said they never saw the boy, but others say they had seen him sometimes.

When I think of how many times my children would ask to go outside to play in a week, I can just cringe when I think of this child. And he allegedly wasn’t just kept from going outside- he was confined to his room in isolation. At the age of 9 years old. 9 year old children are so social, and still very much in need of attention at that age. Needing someone to talk to them, someone to listen to them. Things that a TV cannot do.

The mother’s words about “controlling” are interesting. Especially if you consider the fact that the child was reportedly kept in his room, yet there were reportedly cameras in almost every room of the house. If he was confined to his room, who were the other camera’s for?

Reportedly the original tipster was concerned that child pornography might be involved when he saw all the cameras. Piercy has also denied that and police have not commented….yet.

Taking the Piercy’s at their word that their was no abuse and that all this was done in protection of the child, that then brings up the issue- what happens when protection goes to the extreme?

Isolating a child for long periods of time can cause severe psychological problems as can failing to meet a child’s emotional and social needs. Prolonged periods without the ablity to go to the bathroom can cause serious urinary tract and bowel problems. If a fire had occurred in the home, how would the child have gotten out? If the child was confined to his room for all but an hour a day, when was he being homeschooled? The mother has said the child has a learning disability, yet I must admit I am curious as to how she came to that conclusion, if the child has never been in school or had testing completed.

18 year old Jacob Piercy has spoken to media and he states that he is the son of Randall Piercy. He has told news4jax that he lived with Piercy for 3 years and that he ran away because of his father’s controlling ways. Reportedly Jacob Piercy has alleged “I was only allowed to eat at certain times. I wasn’t allowed to go to the bathroom without his permission. I wasn’t allowed to do anything outside the home,” “We had a monitor system through the whole house and anytime I wanted to do anything like go to the bathroom or get a drink, I had to page him and ask him ‘yes or no?'”

Michelle Piercy has been arrested on charges child abuse.

And reportedly she made a statement earlier this week, that her husband had locked the boy into his bedroom to protect him. Allegedly he had been sexually abused by a relative. She says that is why he locked the child in his bedroom, and she says that the court encouraged a surveillance system for the home.  Reportedly she also told investigators “She acknowledged her son has never been to school, and that they devote only one hour per week in his schooling.”

Reportedly she has now admitted that the child was locked in his room every night, forced to urinate in a plastic bottle, and he was allowed out two times a day to prepare his own meals and once  a day to use the restroom. The child has told investigators “He has never been to the dentist, he has no friends, he is not allowed to leave his room without permission, his only free time is to make his meals and take his bathroom break.” Reportedly the windows in his room were covered with tape, there were no pictures on the walls, no toys and no stuffed animals.

Police are saying they believe that Michelle Piercy may have been controlled in some way by her husband, and they are continuing to investigate her role.

A spokesman from the sheriff’s office has said that in the past other children had been removed from the home because of a  “sibling on sibling type of issue.”

Randall Piercy’s mother has said that he is a ‘control freak’, but not a child abuser. She has also told media that he was only trying to protect the boy, in what had become a house of horrors. Allegedly the boy had been molested by a young relative in the  past. Police have confirmed that an incident of a child sexually assaulting another child occurred at the residence did occur, but that the records are sealed in juvenile court. Authorities have said that the child had siblings who have left the home.

Piercy’s mother has said that the cameras were to check on the child’s safety in the home and the lock on the door was because the parents were afraid that the boy would get up in the night, wander outside and fall into the canal and drown.

Allegedly the ‘vendetta’ that has been referred to is regarding allegations that Michelle Piercy once made against her stepfather years ago.

Neighbors have said they seldom saw the boy, one couple said they thought when they saw him that he was just there visiting. Reportedly when they were outside they sometimes heard him though. Allegedly they sometimes heard him call out and ask if he could come over to play, but they didn’t know which covered window he was calling out from.

According to media, Piercy operated a business out of his home selling t-shirts on the web called Wicked Outlet, Inc. I got curious.

Wicked Outlet, Inc. website

According to whois.net that domain is registered by GoDaddy to Wicked Taz Promotions. Registration info at GoDaddy indicates that the domain is registered to Randall Piercy. I am not sure what this is all about, but evidently Wicked Outlet is asking for donations, and if you donate you get access to an additional part of the site. A $5 donation gets lifetime access!

I also found another site registered to Wicked Taz Promotions called Wicked Downloads. This site is a forum. Again Whois indicates that the site is registered to GoDaddy and is registered by Randall Piercy. This appears to be a software and music download site. Not sure about the legality of what they do on the site, evidently Wicked Taz has his own questions about that:  Please don’t request software from me personally in this section. I cannot locate anything for anyone because so many watch me 🙂

And a third site TryForFree.com. Again linked to Wicked Taz Promotions at whois. Registration through GoDaddy goes to Randall Piercy.

I have a feeling that Wicked Taz may have many footprints on the web, but I have about reached the limits of my capability.

It seems that Randall Piercy is going to be on TV. There was a secretive visit to the jail by Dr. Phil. Reportedly he was doing an interview. Defense attorney’s say they had advised their Piercy against the interview, but Piercy persisted against the attorney’s advice. The attorney did monitor the interview.

According to police Piercy’s wife was not interviewed. The attorney says he believes that Piercy may have been frustrated because his bail is so high and he is unable to bond out.

Hmmm, imagine that. He is frustrated about being locked up for almost 3 months. I wonder if he has access to a bathroom? Allegedly his son was locked up for 3 years, with access to the bathroom only once a day. And he was allegedly under constant surveillance too, at least when the parents hadn’t left him home alone.

I pray that this young boy can get the love, support and counseling he is going to need so he can go on and live a normal, productive life. What a horrible story.

The older son said Piercy controlled “everyone who ever lived in that house” – the mom as well, then? When she was quoted as saying he was very loving, but also very controlling … sounds like DV to me.

  3. October 15, 2006 at 10:44 pm

That stood out to me too. And it wasn’t just the wife and son who talked about him being controlling. His mother said something similiar.

  4. October 19, 2006 at 6:47 am

I’m a member of Wicked Downloads… and a rather senior member at that.

Although the real-world identities are never revealed between members, we are all shocked by the allegations brought forward against the founder, known by the username “wickedtaz”.

Taz did not share movies/music/etc on the site, (at least, not publicly), instead he ran the administrative side of WD. He founded the site and over the years has setup multiple levels of board moderators, each usually having control over one section of the forum, such as “Entertainment” or “Political Discussions.”

After hearing news of who “Taz” really was, a small number of our most respected, and most senior members have left. Fortunately, the forum is under control of our senior moderators and WD can live on, Taz or no Taz.

  5. October 19, 2006 at 6:58 am

Thank you Smurf. Often times we get to know people only in the single context such as a work relationship, or social events or something similiar. For all of us, we seldom know what is going on in a person’s home life, unless they talk about it. And many times they won’t discuss problems. And this is especially true of persons who mainly interact with people on the internet. There was no intention to implicate anyone else, only to determine what was happening online.

  6. October 19, 2006 at 7:05 am

(I’m posting this seperately, because I don’t want my personal opinion to be associated with all members of the site. I speak only for myself. Members of WD know as much about the case yourselves)

No matter what his intentions, the person I know as Taz is a scoundrel.

My sincere hope is that he goes to prison for the abuse, and is never is allowed to see his children again.

These are the kind of people I wish the state would enforce extreme punishment on, in order to get the message across that crushing your child’s mind is one of the most detestable crimes a person is capable of committing.

I’m so sick to hear that a man so many people on WD worshipped is such a terrible person in the real world.

I hope his youngest son can be given a better life now, free to use a toilet when he wants to, free from cameras watching his every move, and free to enjoy what is left of his juvenility.

  7. October 19, 2006 at 7:12 am

Amen. And thank you for your comment. Hopefully he will be able to find someone who will love him, and watch over him- while still allowing him to grow, learn, and develop normal relationships with people.
I hope you don’t mind my asking one question. Did he ever speak about his family on site?

Smurf sent this to me and as one who was a former junior moderator i’ve seen more of the inner workings than Smurf has. I can believe how controlling Taz is if he is anything like on the site Wicked Downloads. Many valuable members have been banned for some of the most trivial things (or Provisional as it is called on the board). Anyone who starts their own forum of ANY kind is banned. Anyone who says anything bad about Taz, his admins or the site runs a high risk of being banned. So called “Private” messages on the board are read by the high up staff consistently. Most members do not know this! Smurf I don’t know if you are aware of the PM’s being read by Mike, Seppy, Jeni, and of course Taz. Be careful what you pm.
Anyway, my point here is that Taz controlled every aspect even on the web site and anything deemed against the site or him put members in a position to be banned without warning. There were jokes about these poor members in the admin section. I have felt something was wrong with the guy for a long time now. I am certainly glad that his son is safe now from that environment especially as a childhood victim of abuse and neglect myself.

HomeSweetHome, I certainly appreciate a blog like yours and applaud you for it. In answer to your last question about whether he talked about his family the answer is no. Only his wife was ever mentioned, referred to as “Angel”. However, it’s strange that many of the staff who have met Randy and Michelle in person are keeping absolute silence on the subject, while a few have quit the board. Makes me wonder what they know.

    Hi Tim & Brian,
I was totally shocked to hear of what happened and even more shocked at what was going on behind the scenes too (re your comments about the Admin forum)
As of today I see there is no site connection to tazboard anymore (site down or in transition? who knows – I wish I did, as I have/had membership access for the last 1 1/2 years or so) I use to enjoy roaming over there to read new posts or just some of the squabbling. But if it’s gone , I don’t know that will be able to happen for me anymore or not.

I had read recently ( a day or so ago) that Miike was making sure things would remain the same – that he had control of it in fact, whether taz was there or not. If either of you know what’s up, please drop me a line.

    Thanks Sela

i ranked up pretty well at wd for quite a bit. and have seen what the admins and mods have said about others and what not. banning good people for no good reasons. wd was a hot place i think not. most stuff they had came from alternate sites so they are no better than the rest. try to speak your mind and get banned for your troubles.

god forbid you take up the net with your site as taz would be threatened by you taking food from his family’s mouth. well if the whole net felt that way
we would be at square one forever. i am not in anyway jealuos, judgemental,
or anything you may try to slander me with. i have the facts do you?

First off a man that must keep any child locked up for any reason should be punished as equally as well. learning disabilities or not.

if he was so disabled why did he cook his own food, nobody that i know could do that if he had the problems he did. pee in a bottle because your only allowed one potty break. come on give me a break? see your mother only for an hour when allowed. sure that would really happen if she cared enough.

randy needs to be brought to justice and pay for what he did. does his wife need to be to? you bet. she knew about it as well. intimidation may have played a role, but she has a mouth and could have called the police is she was that concerned for her son.

as for the cameras why on earth would you want to monitor your sons movement unless you were a pervert that got off on it. stuff like this really pisses me off.

innocent , sure they are! i heard that video taping of any child especially one sitting in his underware was child porn in the making. against the law you bet.

well i hope they throw the book at this bastard and his wife. give the people that do love him the opportunity to give him the life he deserves.

my opinion. don’t like it i don’t care, throw the book at him cut off his nuts and send him to prison for what he has been charged in doing. as for the ones that posted your mind on your thoughts good for ya. anyone that does what he did derserves what he gets.

I was a member of WD.

Do you know want to know what WD is? It’s a massive forum dedicated to WAREZ. That’s right, the illegal posting of links to pirated and stolen software and the means to illegally use them. For 5$ you could get lifetime access to the ‘newer’ posts on the forum where all the 0day stuff was.

I hated WD. There were seemingly stupid rules. No posting of very peticular movies containing gore. Only a SMALL few were barred such as Hostel and The Devil’s Rejects. I find it funny that both those movies deal with people being locked in places and abused. Oh and there was a no porn rule. Was this to keep taz himself far from porn because in his head it was bad because he was TAPING HIS FUCKING KID IN HIS BED ALL THE TIME.

Taz was very controlling. He had about 90% of the members on WD believing that it was a ‘sharing community’ and was good for the people. Over and over I went on there, telling people that it was illegal filesharing and not to be so casual about it or they were going to end up in legal trouble. Over and over Taz made it look like a big happy family.

I hope this motherfvcker goes away for a long time. And hopefully with further investigation, gets more piracy and posession of stolen material, or whatever the piracy charges are now. Fucker.

Oh and for the record, I want my $5 ‘lifetime’ membership fee back…cause Tazboard is gone, and I ain’t dead.

Pornographic, hacking & cracking and drugs related materials are prohibited.

That’s what sat WD apart from all the rest but obviously you can’t handle that

I got ask you why did you come here for?? What was you looking for

Dr. Phil visited Taz or Randall Piercy, Saturday, January 6 in the jail house for an interview. Randall thinks he has done no wrong, he told Dr. Phil he does not know why he has been in jail so long and can’t see his son. He really knows why. He is frustrated because he cannot post bail. The bail is $750,000. His pre trial is set for January 18 or 19th. His defense attorneys are against him talking to Dr. Phil. This really makes me sick, because his child is paying the price for this and Randall wants to go public with this to make himself look like the victim. Randall thinks he is going to make money off of this and hopefully pay his bail. He was caught red handed, according to the police report, and witnesses. I am more concerned with the child getting the help he needs than Randall Piercy. Go to jacksonville.com, Saturday January 6, metro news. There is more going on with this case, they must have found more evidence of other crimes because his case has been moved to a higher court.

all i can say is wow, i am sad. i was a frequenter of tazboard and i loved the political board, and the sense of comunity that we had on their, i had not had any kind of trouble with taz. i thought he was a great guy. it is scary how little we can know of someone who we think so highly of. i do want to say this though, allthough things look bad, sometimes they can be blown out of all proportion by the media, and allthough what he did was wrong, untill all the facts have been established and are known we should be careful of what we say. he will never live this down regardless of the result of the trial. I am praying for him, hoping that he see’s the truth of his actions.

Yes, I’ve had that impression from the beginning that it was just one or two. I’m surprised Zero Boss let them get away with that. I bet he just sits back and shakes his head over that one. And I also think that is why they are so quick to suspect others of doing that. Oh and the spelling mistakes are all very similar among them as well. One night, I didn’t want to blog that thread, so I made little comments on other threads, just to work them off the board. Part of me resists commenting because I think they get off on it. But I “get” what they are doing and don’t feel inclined to let them get away with it. If it were their blog, they could say as they like — oh and I wouldn’t go there either. Wicked Pat made a good remark last night, so we’re not the only ones who recognize them for what they are. You’re not too carried away — anyone they hate so bad, has got to have some good to them. Truly, I would have dropped out long ago — but I’ll not let them think they got the better of me. And I pipe up now and then to let you know someone’s got your back. The 28th should be Very Interesting. I bet we don’t hear a peep out of any of them after that. I think your last post should be “Gotcha, Creeps!” I do hope you get the last word, whoever you are. It’s like they want people to believe he is really “Father of the Year.” I don’t even think they believe it. I have been trying to come up with possible scenarios that would make them bet so heavily on the wrong horse. Possibly he has something on them or there are aspects to the story that will make them look very bad as well. Hang in there and Good Luck! Also make sure your spy ware is very very up to date and completely enabled as well as your virus protection. Norton has notified me of two attempted attacks since I started this. Probably just a coincidence, but I wouldn’t put anything past those folks.

I don’t want to say to much to reveal my identity, but I do know the Piercy family, and not very proud of it, but I am not who they accuse me of being. I will keep you posted on the trial. they keep postponing everything because the defense, is not ready. I read your post and Pat’s post and I kinda laid back to see what kind of response they would give you. Yes, Pat and you both made a good point, I do appreciate that you understand that I really truly care what happens to this child. They want people to think that all of them are the family of the year when they truly can’t stand each other. Randy Piercy will never be the father of the year, but they want everyone to believe it. That is why I keep posting. If you read the tazboard members remarks on this blog they are not happy with Randy Piercy at all. I know I have been monitoring the wicked outlet site. Everyone are upset because they have ordered T-shirts and have not received them. E-bay kicked him off. Well the problem is that Randy Piercy’s computers were taken at the scene when he was arrested so there is noone to operate his business. I thought maybe his mother, or other kin would take over for him. Guess they don’t care much about him. Take care sure to talk to you later and thanks.

I’ve been reading all the other blogs from all over that have to do with this case. PBB is the only one where they have sustained their barrage of nonsense. On the other blog sites (some of them very good, by the way) the comments are all negative against RP but ended as folks’ interest in the case waned. The supporters and his mom obviously have computers, they should have fulfilled his orders and helped him prevent foreclosure if they believe in him so much. They must be lazy along with their other attributes that they have demonstrated so well. There has been more than one time that I actually felt a little sorry for him. With friends like that — who needs enemies?
Don’t do ANYTHING to compromise your anonymity. Those folks are too wierd. I made the Vic Savage post at Bonnie’s Blog, just to see who would respond. (you did) So far no response to my last post at PBB — maybe a gag order? I can’t imagine what is keeping them quiet. But I don’t expect it to last. I’m pretty sure they do not even read the posts before they respond. I’m still thinking there are some guilty consciences out there, expecting to be found out. I still say if they knew so many personal details, they knew something creepy was going on.
Any idea how the kid has been placed and how he is doing? Don’t answer if you think it will compromise his safety and well being.

  50. Carry Grant said,

I know he is in good hands, I can’t say too much, but he is being treated. He is a very sweet child, and when he can trust the person he’s with he opens up. He is a very good artist. But sometimes he shuts down and sits in a corner saying nothing. I can’t reveal my source, because all hell would break loose on the Piercy family’s side.He is in protective custody. That was the last I heard which was a couple of months ago.

  51. Carry Grant said,

    February 23, 2007 at 1:28 am

You can respond if you want to, they will not let this go. They will keep going on and on. They are just waiting to see if I post anything that will give them a clue.

  53. Carry Grant said,

    February 23, 2007 at 2:25 am

I know that is why I felt so hurt, and when I seen the posts that they were posting in the beginning trying to say that Randy did no wrong. I lost it and I wanted everyone to know what kind of a family they are. There is no excuse for such treatment, none at all. I wanted to speak for this child because he is the one that suffers the most. The post where she seemed concerned for the boy, about wondering if he misses his parents and so on, just made me totally sick. Knowing what I knew about what he was going through. I could rattle on for hours, Anyway, I will keep my ears open, and keep you informed. It won’t be long and they will find this blog and carry on like a bunch of wild animals.

  54. Missy said,

It’ll be a regular hillbilly ho-down. I must say it has opened my eyes to things. But I can’t for the life of me figure out why anyone would defend it. Seems like the smart thing to do would be to shut up when their position is so undefendable.

  55. Carry Grant said,

    February 23, 2007 at 3:19 am

You are right, I know, that is why I kept saying you cannot defend this one or justify it. But in their minds they are saying it was okay, because Randy did this to protect his son. The other case where this couple had foster children with disabilities, and kept them in cages. Correct me if I am wrong. They thought that it was okay, but the court ruled guilty. These children were let out, not kept in there 24 hours a day, but they were found guilty and was sentenced to 2 years in prison. No matter what the reason was behind Randy keeping his son locked up, he still is quilty. They must not be to smart to keep on and on defending him when I see no defense. They are crazy.

  56. Missy said,

    February 23, 2007 at 3:32 am

I don’t think the Gravelles really knew any better. I think they were overwhelmed. I don’t think they were evil, just stupid. I read that they had decorated the cages and there was at least a shred of reasoning behind some of their actions. And they had tried to take on too much, obviously. I’m not defending them, but some of the children were already somewhat damaged before they got them. And I think CPS had condoned some of their actions before it became a public spectacle. This is different somehow — sick and twisted.

  57. Carry Grant said,

    February 23, 2007 at 4:00 am

Right, I could not find the exact words but you are right. Their hearts were in the right place. This Piercy case is different I am so thankful that he was found in time. There is no telling where he would end up if they had sold the house and moved. It was like they did not want the world to know that he existed. A lot of neighbors did not know they had a child. One of the neighbors heard a child’s voice coming from the house, asking if he could come over and play. But they were not sure of where it was coming from upstairs or downstairs. His windows were covered, so I guess they could not see him and he could see not see them. Something definitely was going on other than what they say. I want to know what they found on his computers.
That would be the key to everything. Another point, some sick people to put children in a prison environment and use video to put out on the internet to make money. I’m not saying that is what he did, but it does make you wonder.

  58. Missy said,

    February 23, 2007 at 4:17 am

It definitely sounds like more than misguided parenting. Life long friends and supporters must be as sick and twisted as well. How could someone stand by and allow someone to exploit a child like that? It seems like it had to be either fear or collusion. And what if the house would have caught on fire? We were not allowed to lock our doors as children and mom and dad had a pass key to get in anyway if we did either on purpose or by accident. Back then they considered open or unlocked doors safer — quite a reversal! And the real estate angle really boggles my mind. Sounds like quite a selling point — cameras in every room. No extra charge? A free glimpse into the every day life of a wierdo that doesn’t know he’s a wierdo?

  59. Carry Grant said,

    February 23, 2007 at 12:19 pm

What boggles my mind is the boy was left alone, locked up while Randy and his wife went out for hours and hours. Like you say, what if the house caught on fire there was no way he could get out. The neighbors seen Randy and his wife numerous times leaving the house because they would wave at them. But noone seen the boy with them. How convenient, the locked door was also his babysitter. The real key here are the computers and if they found anything at all. That was why the dectective at once thought it was child porn.
That is why I say all of this will come out in the wash. I think the computers will pay big role in this. IF they don’t find anything then, I am sure he will serve time for locking him up and the mental abuse this child suffered.

  68. VicSavage said,

    March 6, 2007 at 12:12 am

Carry, Yes, I’ve been “watching” this one too. Just in case. Haven’t done the temp email thing yet. Piercy’s are just nuts. I’m still sure it is only one person or maybe two. And they are dragging themselves down even further. If they didn’t get your point, well they are hopeless. It is hard for me to believe that someone “new” could come and not “see” what’s going on. But I’ll drop in over there from time to time to see and comment if I feel like it. Might as well. I won’t let them keep on and on without interjecting some sort of reason. For now, though, they can just “hang.” When I get the address, I’ll post here, if the coast seems clear. If there was any news today, you should post that over there. Just the facts sort of thing. It was pretty exhausting, hunh? That person has way too much time on their hands! I swear, I don’t know any of those people, but it seems like Nancy Piercy to me. Isn’t that funny? I can almost picture this woman and I wouldn’t know her from the man in the moon. Heck! I feel like I even know the dog! Hope to see you “around” blogging other stuff. I’ll resist until I feel like they’ve said something just too stupid, ya know? Take care and beware. I’ll be around.

  69. Carry Grant said,

    March 6, 2007 at 1:03 am

Okay, I am going to blog around other stuff, also. No don’t post it here, Jamie Lynn is on the other blog telling them we have been posting here. I really don’t care, but it is funny how Jamie is their watch dog. Maybe she should change her name to Honey.

  70. Missy said,

Dang! I don’t know how it did that. I’ll have to get a COMPUTER EXPERT from PBB to figure it out for me. I know I would not be good a keeping a dual identity. That’s for sure. Multiple personality disorder doesn’t suit me as well as some people… Vic Savage is actually the hubby’s blog name and it defaults to the last user. Anyway, I didn’t think that comment posted, so I posted it again. Now I feel bad about being unkind. Guess I’ll have to get over it. Twice. Maybe they think that really is respectful. Sad, really.

  71. KatK said,

Hey, Carry what are the updates on this case? I’d like to hear whether or not that poor little boy will be able to be away from those terrible people for good, or not.. Even just a link or two to your local news with updates on this case would be welcome. Or, I suppose you could drop a line to the blog owner here and let her know how the case is going? I want to see justice done here!

  72. Missy said,

    March 6, 2007 at 9:38 pm

You won’t know for sure it is me, but it is. Definitely do not reveal yourself to Nancy Piercy. You do have her going that’s for sure. A couple more days of this, and she won’t know who she really is, if she does now. I’m glad you could tell that I was not the one posting. It’s a little disconcerting to have someone that hates you use your name. I think PBB moderator should strike comments we did not make. And also the repetitive ones from the same person under different names. But at leat it keeps them busy. Like Nero fiddling while Rome burned. I think she got some bad rum or else some wierd LSD 25 is going around again. I think it is funny that it turns out that the only life long family friend and board member and John Wayne that RP has is his mommy. Poor devil.

Carry Grant was trying to keep people up to date – although I have no way of knowig if the source was credible. There was an update from him/her a few days ago on Parents Behaving Badly — but such a barrage followed, that I am not sure if any further updates will be forthcoming. Thanks for the update on the hearing. I have been checking but haven’t been able to find any media updates. Has anybody heard if the Dr. Phil program showed? I was really interested in that. I have a feeling it was going to be informative.

  83. Missy said,

    March 7, 2007 at 4:21 am

I have been checking Dr. Phil schedule weekly, but nothing about this case has surfaced. The interview with Dr. Phil was early in Jan and at that time people close to the Piercy family were predicting that segment would air in a couple weeks. At that time, folks implied that information disclosed on Dr. Phil would vindicate RP — but nothing like that has been forthcoming. Just from reviewing Dr. Phil’s site, it does seem like shows are in development sometimes for a few months before a particular topic is aired. It seems there is one in the works about parents who surveill their children for safety reasons — like by GPS tracking or cell phones. But there are several catergories of topics coming up that this might fit into — just nothing specific so far about the Piercy case.

Perhaps it would be in your best interests if you plan on posting at the PBB board and here for that matter, to register your name. On PBB it’s down the right side under META.

  95. Carry Grant said,

    March 22, 2007 at 12:24 pm

There are no news or links to any updates. I know from the Courthouse that the DEA for Randy Piercy asked for a rehearing. That was denied. The last court date on Feb. 28, they put in a waiver to a speedy trial. His next Court date is on April 3, at 9:00 AM. Any one can attend it is Criminal Court and the public can go and sit in if they want to. Michelle has a court date in April also but hers is in Juvenile Court. Juvenile Court is closed to the Public. I will continue to post updates after Randy’s court date on April 3. That is all I know for now.

  96. PiercyCousin said,

    March 27, 2007 at 9:46 pm

I am Randy’s cousin. In regards to the Dr.Phil airing, the family was only going off of what the producers told us. We were told it would air in 2 weeks. Why it hasn’t yet, I do not know. Perhaps editing reasons, or perhaps they are waiting for a topic to come around that it would fit into. Dr.Phil’s show has been focused around the Dr.Phil House lately, so I imagine the show is a bit busy with that.

As for the trial (which there isn’t even a trial yet), Randy’s next court hearing is on April 3. I will be attending with his Mother and other family members. I am sure I will be attacked in here for being a family member (cousin) to Randy, but if you would like for me to post an update after the court hearing, I’d be more then happy to.

  97. March 27, 2007 at 10:51 pm

I would appreciate it if someone would post the updates to the hearings, trial and related issues. Posting links to news articles is also appreciated.
The rules here are fairly simple. Many who come to read here have already been subjected to violence in their lives and they don’t need to witness more. That’s what I had figured, but wondered if it might have been a question covered in the court proceedings at all. Probably though, things having to do with that are conducted in closed court hearings.

  104. Brenda said,

    April 18, 2007 at 5:05 pm

What stood out to me on this site was that one of the child’s half brothers evidently molested him. Generally (as I’ve read) when children molest other children THEY have been molested and feel that puts some control in their lives.

It’s hard to believe that 5 OLDER half brothers would leave home and not have any concern about their little half brother. Why didn’t they band together as ADULTS to get help for him. Is it possible they thought they lived a normal life. Where is this “alleged abuser’s ex-wife, the mother of the other 5 children?”.

Being raised by the Piercy man must have been a nightmare that left and will leave a lot of scars that only therapy can try to dim them..

  105. Carry Grant said,

    April 18, 2007 at 7:12 pm

According to the Piercy’s, Randy’s mother, she says the middle son molested this child (one that was locked up for 3 years) because he wanted to please his father. But his father turned him in and that is why he was on TV telling the media that his father treated him the same way to pay his father back for turning him in. Which is not true. Also Randy’s mother explanation of the 2 liter bottle that was found in the room was his father was a truck driver and that was what truck drivers used when they could not stop at the rest area’s to piss in. Her grandson thought is was neat. The other explanation she gave was, this child had a bladder problem and used the 2 liter bottle to keep from wetting his bed. We know why he used the 2 liter bottle because he was locked up in his room and could not go freely to the bathroom. Nothing was said by the other brothers because the Piercy’s are very violent people and would harm not only them but other family members as well.

From what I am hearing on TV the long awaited interview with Dr. Phil will be happening on 05-18-07 and is entitled “Caged”. It is airing in prime time. Check your local listings for time and station.

I have to put my 2 sense in. When asking where the older siblings were we have to remember all the children were victims. 2 of the 3 biological children of Michelle had been placed with her ex-husbands when the children were 2 and 3, respectivley. This again is an alleged attack. However, at the time the youngest was taken, only Michelle, Randy, and the youngest were living in that house. So why continue the monitors for months after Randy’s other children had moved out.
As far as the video debut with Dr Phil. Thats uncalled for. Michelle still has 1 young adolescent teenager who will be very confused and upset when he sees it broadcast over national television.

Well the latest news is Randy’s brother Steve, was arrested Thursday night at 10:45 for abusing his 13 year old daughter. Steven Piercy had been drinking and his daughter wanted to see her mother. Steven went into a rage and grabbed her arm and shoved her outside. At the time there was a very bad thunderstorm. The police arrested him. There were bruises on her arm and she could not understand why he was mad at her. Steve told the police that he had been drinking and did not mean to hurt her, he just wanted to show her a lesson. His 13 year old daughter told the police that he kept her locked up also so she could not be with friends. Well the Piercy’s are at it again. I don’t like Randy being on Dr. Phil but the Piercy’s want to show Randy in a different light. Now we have 2 Piercy sons in jail for child abuse. Looks like birds of a feather flock together.

Steve told the police that he was going through a nasty divorce. He did not deny anything. I guess we will see what happens next. stay tuned….

Carry, I would appreciate when you are posting an allegation about someone that you do attach a media article or some means of showing where the info came from.
I was able to find the article at http://www.parentsbehavingbadly.com/2006/10/17/randall-piercy-update-father-made-son-live-in-concentration-camp-conditions/#comment-63010

I did not know where to find the article to match the media article. I looked on the channel 47 website but could not find anything. So I went to the site for the Sheriff’s office inmate search to be sure. This was just happening, I was watching this on Television. On channel 4 the local station they told more of the details on what he did to get arrested. Sorry about that but I knew that someone would find it. Next time I will be sure not to post anything, about anyone here. I figured that you would find out more information than I could give. This was just a tip and was hoping you would follow up on it. I do not have all the resources that you have. But thanks for posting the media article for others.

Is there a place a person could send books or art supplies for the child to? I would like (if feasible) to find some books to send to this child. I love books, and I still fondly read a few childhood favorites if I should encounter them in the bookstore. It breaks my heart that he didn’t even have that solace, and I’d like to try to share some of the joy of reading with him if I could.

Right now, he has no contact with anyone in the family. I don’t know even how to find out. I imagine after this is over you might be able to. They are keeping it hush hush about his where abouts until after the trial. I watched the Dr. Phil special and it was good. It showed the house where they lived He showed for sure that Randy is guilty. The two sons took lie detector tests and Jacob told the truth abou his father being abusive.

Jamie Skeeters can be googled. It shows many attributes throughout his life. One of these is also as a polygraph expert. Im guessing that he was the polygraph expert that Dr. Phil used on the Piercy’s. Can anyone confirm?

  124. Carry Grant said,

    May 19, 2007 at 4:12 pm

Mr. Skeeters is the polygraphist he uses on all of his shows. He died January 24th suddenly in his seat on a connecting flight in Memphis Tenn. There is a lawsuit pending against him and Dr. Phil on the Halloway case. About editing of the show to incriminate certain people.

If you would like to donate items to the child you may want to contact the local Guardian Ad Litem office in the court’s jurisdiction. According to the info I’m reading/hearing about this case a Guardian Ad Litem has surely been assigned to represent this child’s best interest in the Juvenile/Dependency case.

  126. KatK said,

    May 21, 2007 at 3:42 am

Any contact info for the court offices, or the boss of those who are appointed Gaurdian? Some way to get word to someone who could pass the message up the line, and arrange a way to get things to the child?

  127. Momoftwo said,

    May 21, 2007 at 11:27 am

I would start by contacting the Guardian Ad Litem(GAL) office. If you are not able to find the number the Clerks Office, Juvenile Dept should be able to provide you with a number. I would explain to the GAL office that you want to donate items for this child. Keep in mind that they may be receiving a lot of items for this child. They have many children under their watch just like him. They could use any and all donations. I know they would appreciate them!

  130. May 23, 2007 at 4:07 am

I have been contacted by a relative of the child and they wish to thank everyone for their thoughts and concern and ask for your continued prayers for the boy. They have also given an update on how he is doing, and I am going to post it verbatim from the email.
“The family has been sending him tons of clothes, toys, etc these past 7 months. We have been told he is now adjusting pretty well, he is still having difficulty with his school work. They said that he doesn’t want to “waste time” studying, he wants to find anything to do, other than school work. 🙂 He is on medication, and the type he is on gets out of his system each day, so he is not medicated around the clock. He does well on this medication and his mother is very happy that he is taking something that is helping him. The case workers, guardian ad litem and foster family all say he is VERY VERY active, but the medication is helping.”
To the family members who sent me the email, thank you for the update. It is good to hear that he is doing better. As for the attitude about school- well that sounds pretty typical for the age, so it is kinda good news in a way. With time and patience, hopefully that will work itself out. I am happy to hear that he is adjusting and recovering well.

From what I have been told, the child’s name beings with an M, is a biblical name, and has 7 letters. Sorry for the wheel of fortune type of deal, but I’m not sure if his name can be released, but if one were to figure it out, nothing they can do. For those who are wishing to donate books and such to him. I would think (going by the pictures of him in the same outfit every picture) that he would be needing clothing as well. And maybe toys since he didn’t have any. The GAL office should be able to provide more information. If anyone does find anything out about how/what to donate, please post it here, as I have a collection of children’s books that I could donate as well. And I’d love to go to Walmart and get him some toys to play with. Learning toys, since he was deprived schooling. Maybe a Leapfrog Learning System, kids find those fun, at least my 2 twins do.

  132. Cary Grant said,

    May 23, 2007 at 12:21 pm

This must be a very great moment for the side of the family that really cares about him to be able to send clothes and toys. To hear how he is doing Active, Active is what can be expected from a child locked up for so long. He probably thinks he better take advantage of his freedom while he still can. At least he is not medicated all the time. Maybe as time goes by and he sees that he is free forever, he will not have to take medication at all. Great news!!!! Thanks Home Sweet Home,

I am glad to hear he is on the way to healing. I do hope he finds joy in (positive) learning of some kind, if it isn’t “book learning” and traditional methods, perhaps learning by doing?

  134. May 23, 2007 at 6:03 pm

Gary, because the child is a minor and in protective custody I really don’t want to have his name published here. I am sure that if anyone called the GAL office and gave the parents names, that office would know which child was being referred to.

Great news, finally Randy’s final pretrial is Feb. 21, 2008. Jury Selection starts Feb. 25, 2008. I knew that after finding Randy mentally fit to stand trial that it would not be long. No trial date yet, but jury selection. I will keep you posted. I am really interested in what the prosecution has on him. Michelle is still going to pretrial in January 4, 2008. I have no word on how the boy is doing. But at least this will be all over with, and he will have closure.

  149. February 24, 2008 at 1:49 am

Carry G.-on the charges that Piercy is incarcerated on- what kind of penalty is he looking at? He has been incarcerated now for about a year and 4 months.By the time he gets to court and if convicted, will there even be a sentence or will it end up as “time served?”

  150. Carry Grant said,

    February 24, 2008 at 3:45 pm

Randy first charge was aggravated child abuse. This occurs when a person commits aggravated battery on a child-willfully tortures, maliciously punishes or willfully and unlawfully cages a child. That is a felony of the first degree. This means that by a term imprisonment not exceeding 30 years or when specifically provided by statue, by imprisonment for a term of years not exceeding life imprisonment. There is a fine of $10,000. On his second charge which was child neglect with no bodily harm that is a felony of 3rd degree, which means he will get imprisonment not exceeding 5 years. There is a fine of $5,000. Randy thinks that he will get out of this as time served. I think he will get at least 5 years to 10 years. That is just my opinion if he is found guilty.

  151. katkmeanders said,

    February 25, 2008 at 2:39 am

I hope he gets 10++ years, and no time taken off for good behavior! That poor child rotted away, instead of being able to go out and learn. I’d say that amount of time about equals what was taken from the child. *outraged*

  152. katkmeanders said,

This is just crazy how long the case is dragging out. Personally I hope the parents are in jail long enough for the older boys to turn 18. Then the younger boy who suffered should be placed in public services or kept away from Randy and Michelle.

I feel for the parents being in jail for so long. They should lose the right to raise their son that they so messed up. But on the other hand there’s children rapist who confess and aren’t charged. There’s lots of other greater injustices that see less jail time then the time the Peircy’s already served.

I guess it would be fair if they get 4 years. Approximately the same amount of time they looked up their son. I would love to be on the jury to see the facts come out in court.

  155. Carry Grant said,

    February 27, 2008 at 3:14 am

This has been dragging on and on because Randy wants it to. He thinks that if it is drug out long enough people will not feel as angry as they did in the beginning. He is looking for sympathy from anyone that will play the violin for him. Personally I feel the same way about this as I did in the beginning. There is no excuse what so ever for locking up an innocent child no matter what. He blames this child for everything. As far as I know the child was to remain in protective custody until after the trial. But that could change. I think they were trying to place him with kin on Michelle’s side of the family. I am sure they have lost their parental rights to this child. I plan on sitting in at the trial from time to time. I will keep posting updates. As far as I know a court date has not been set. It is only a matter of time before the trial starts, Randy is running out of time. Hopefully once this goes to trial it will not last long.

  156. Thug said,

    February 29, 2008 at 4:51 pm

Well I’ll agree that I’m be a little sympathic toward Randy because of the length of time he’s spending in jail. But it still doesn’t change my mind that they’re guilty and should serve 4-6 years (taking the time they already served into account).

I guess that could change as more information/facts become public.

It would be nice to get an update on the boy. It’s been 16 months since he was rescued from his parents. That enough time to evaluate his progression to normalcy.

I was just wondering if anyone has been going to these hearings and if Nancy Piercy has come out of hiding to be at her son’s side during this. I have not seen her posting here or on PBB in such a long time that I assumed she dropped off of the face of the earth. Any news on her?

  159. Carry Grant said,

    March 23, 2008 at 12:34 pm

Nancy claims to have made a trip to California, and she said as soon as she returned she would be back. I don’t think she went to California. I think she is in some kind of trouble. She is using her son, Steve’s address and also her apt. address. She still is around I am sure. Nancy did not go to Randy’s hearings because she claimed she could not afford the gas for her car to go back and forth. The most important for her to attend to is the trial. After all she is a witness for the defense. I think she would make a great witness for the prosecution because of her constant justification of why Randy locked this child up for years. She showed no remorse for this child. She will be back. Someone told me she was trying to get custody of this child, maybe that is why she is silent. I know she would have a hard time getting custody because the Boswell’s Michelle’s family are more capable of taking care of this child financially and are in good health. Nancy has a lot of health and mental issues . She also is not financial able to care of a child.

  160. Carry Grant said,

    August 15, 2008 at 5:51 pm

Well its August 14, 2008 and there was a defendants motion for continuance which was granted. There is not going to be a jury selection on August 25 but a pretrial date has been set for October 16. November 18 is another pretrial date, and December 1, is jury selection. Randy is trying his best to keep this from going to trial. Eventually he is going to have to face the music. If Angela Corey gets elected in August 26 as State Attorney, he will have something to worry about.

Its all over now there is justice after all.

Thank you Carry Grant for the info. It has been two years, most of which he has spent in jail. Do you know what kind of sentence they are looking at? Will he be likely to sent to prison or will he get a sentence that will now let him out for time served?

Randy will spend 9 years behind bars, with a credit of 2 years. That is the maximum part of his plea bargain. He was in court today to hear his sentence. The key witness was Michelle his wife, she testified that the child indeed lived as a prisoner. She said the 9 year old would wake up when a television turned on and at that point his father’s voice would come over the intercom and he would be told to go downstairs and make himself breakfast and sit in a designated chair, where a camera could view the child eating breakfast. From there Piercy’s wife, (who is being charged with aggravated child abuse) said that the child would be told by intercom to return to his room. Michelle, who is Piercy’s wife, will go to trial in Feb. I think since she testified against Randy, that was a part of a plea bargain, just my opinion. Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year. This child now can live his life without having to worry about being locked up.

Michelle, Randy’s wife testified against him in court as a plea bargain with the prosecution. She was given a sentence of time served. She is charged with child neglect which is a felony in the 3rd degree in Florida. The charge of Aggravated child abuse was dropped as part of the plea bargain. Michelle is now a free woman. Hope she learned a lesson from this.
