True crime buff here and I’m finally checking into true crime blogs! I ran into a GREAT historical true crime called the 1912 Villisca axe murders. It is right up there with Lizzie Borden–happened about 20 years later. I found an excellent documentary on it last night which was very compelling. It is called Villisca: Living with a Mystery featuring FBI profiler Robert Ressler. The flm’s website has a lot of interesting background on the story. This murder of 8 people took place in a small 1 1/2 story home in a small town in middle America. It is an historical true crime story, but thought it would be of interest here.

I’ll take a look! If you are interested in Historical Crime, there are a number of historical crime writers on the blogroll.
