A study conducted at two Universities show that younger women are becoming more abusive toward their boyfriends.

Of 2,500 students interviewed, 32 percent of the women interviewed say they have physically, mentally or emotionally abused their partners, with only 24 percent of the men admitting to the same. The study acknowleges that it could be partially due to the way men and women define abuse. In another study of 1,490 students, 25 percent admit to having been stalked. 58 percent of the stalkers were women.

Experts feel that abuse of men may be underreported due to embarrassment. It is believed that male abusers are still higher then female abusers and that men are more likely to kill or seriously injure their female partners.
