Age is not a factor

Gregory and Carolyn Cooper were married on July 9, 2005. They will not celebrate their first anniversary. There will be no romantic candlelit dinner.

On Monday, Gregory Cooper, 55, filed a complaint for divorce in which he cited “general indignities” as a cause. In the complaint he also requested the return of his personal property. The judge signed a restraining order at that time, which ordered that neither party would “doing, attempting to do, or threatening to do, any act injuring, mistreating, molesting, or harassing the adverse party.”

Four days later- on Fri., police were called to an address to investigate a report of a shooting. A witness told him that Gregory Cooper was inside, and that the gun used was on the kitchen table. Inside the officer found Carolyn Cooper sitting on the floor and Gregory Cooper lying in the hallway. Gregory Cooper had been shot multiple times, and 5 shell casings were found nearby.

One article indicates that the address was the address of Gregory Cooper.

Carolyn Cooper was in court Fri. where she pleaded innocent to a first degee murder charge.

Violence is not a life stage that people “outgrow”. Domestic violence is something that crosses all race, religion, age, and socio-economic barriers.

What Gregory Cooper meant by “general indignities” I have no way of knowing.
