It was an accident

James Ehren Anderson and his live in girlfriend Michelle Webb were arguing. Witnesses have said they were at the point of breaking up.

Witnesses allegedly have said that Anderson pulled out a gun and began waving it in the air. Yeah, you guessed it. It went off, striking Webb in the head and killing her.

Initially police felt that it was an accidental shooting, but Anderson has now been charged with manslaughter.

If you don’t know how to safely handle a gun, you shouldn’t have one. If you have one, you should never pull the gun to threaten. If you pull the gun, you should have every intention of pulling the trigger.

Reportedly there were witnesses to the shooting.

There are occasionally accidental shootings. But this guy appears to have been using the gun for intimidation. Evidently he didn’t think he was big enough to intimidate without the assistance of a lethal weapon.

Manslaughter is a legal charge, defined by yahoo as:  The unlawful killing of one human by another without express or implied intent to do injury. http://education.yahoo.com/reference/dictionary/entry/manslaughter

Now why would you pull a gun in an argument, if you did not mean to imply an intent to do injury?
