I hope these revolting people are not going to use the excuse of his autism as a defence to this. My son has autism, he is highly sensitive and hates being left alone, let alone treated so callously.

I have also been a foster mother, not all of us are cruel and uncaring to those in our care, mine is still here and he is 22 years old.

These people should never get out.

Very sad. I know as a parent of an autistic boy how stressfull it can be. Most parents are in shock, but would rather lose a limb or two than part with their child. I have to think that these people who did the crime were probably mentally ill.
Poor little Marcus…god bless him.

Do you know what name Liz Carroll would have used on the show/shows?

I asked a few people and we believe it was around ‘96-’98 that they were on one of those shows. It was one of those shows about 2 girls (in this case sisters) fighting over the same boy. Which came as no surprise.They craved the spotlight. I have been reading the articles on this case and this family is re-hashing all of the same stories that they claimed through childhood….the mental problems, abuse, medical ailments…the works. How can someone claim to be mentally unstable from middle school to high school and then have the balls to be a foster parent?? The live-in girlfriend situation is not surprising either…given the historyof them that we recall. I don’t want to come off as bashing, but myself and others here are baffled at the fact that she was okayed to be a foster parent.
And there is no surprise that her mother made the statements she did about people shouldn’t be pointing the finger at Liz and her husband. Liz did not fall far from the tree. My heart aches for the poor child, he never had a chance with any parents he was with, apparently.

As someone who grew up with Liz and her sister in Massachusetts, no one here is surprised about this. The shock is that she was ever allowd to become a foster parent! Perhaps someone could alert the State or News Stations to contact the Jerry Springer Show or Ricki Lake Shows for the footage of these 2 sisters in action! That’s right, they made an appearance on the talk show circuit. I hope they get the snot beaten out of them in prison and when they are sentenced…fry them. As for the ‘girlfriend’ that has yet to be charged…please have her sterlized. It’s the least the state could do.

I know some of the Carroll Family (the good side) like his father and people on that side of the family and (the bad side) like his Mother and his stepfather. I feel after reading everything written and seeing what others have said Dave Carroll Jr., Liz Carroll, Amy Baker, should receive life with no possibility of parole or death penalty. Dave Carroll jr.’s Mother, stepfather, Liz Carroll’s mother, Amy Baker’s parents all should receive NO LESS than 25 years. They all knew this baby was dead before the Scam was started. Liz even told the grand jury she dropped Marcus off at HER MOTHER’s while they went to Kentucky AND picked him up late the next night. They never mentioned Marcus to their relatives in KY. and they told their other kids Marcus was with his parents that weekend. There is another relative (Cherise Atkins) who is Dave Jr. Step-sister she uses the name (momof3) on courtTV.com blogs of the 133 posts she has made on there she seems like a nutcase also from what I have read. I wouldn’t know her personnally so I can’t say which side of the family she best fits but I do know the good side wishes she would go away and stop posting on ANY blog for she knows NOTHING as fact. She claims to have seen Marcus once or twice in her life. Then you get to the Carroll’s Children and AMy Baker’s Kids Those kids need to be moved out of the state if not the country and NO WAY GIVEN TO ANYONE RELATED TO ANY OF THEM That is the only chance those kids will have in life now. Can you imagine living with their grandparents and telling them mommy and daddy were wonderful parents but will never be back in your life because the courts found them guilty. I am sure they will explain how they were framed when they get older This I have to laugh at. Anyone else related needs to be neutered or spayed to keep from spread this seed of evil. I am so angry they didn’t charge AMY BAKER i need to stop typing.

This horrible thing,happened to such an innocent baby.My heart is still broken,all the children in foster care are at risk.No one is really loving them like a true parent.I pray everything and everyone who knew he was in danger gets something for them doing nothing.I am a mother of a child with disabilities,my greatest fear is if something happened to me,they would be in the care of cps.There are no agencies available to parents that will truely help.They are there but believe me,they do not want to help,they only will do what is easiest for them.Its big business to take kids from parents,instead of giving suport in their home enviroment.They get much more to take a child away then help families in crises.It seems to me they have become emlpoyment agencies,with no regard for the children they serve.
